UDG Healthcare CEO steps down and moves to non-executive role with CD&R
Dublin, 15 December 2021: Following the conclusion of the acquisition of UDG Healthcare plc (“UDG”) by Clayton Dublier & Rice (“CD&R”), Brendan McAtamney has today announced he will step down from his role as CEO of UDG Healthcare with immediate effect.
The acquisition, which closed in August this year, delivered £10.80p per share equating to £2.8bn returned to shareholders in an all-cash deal.
CD&R are pleased to confirm that Mr. McAtamney will continue in a non-executive capacity with both of UDG Healthcare’s two divisions. Ashfield, a global healthcare services business will combine with an existing CD&R portfolio company, Huntsworth, to create a global leader in advisory, marketing, public relations and medical communications. Sharp, a global leader in contract packaging, clinical, manufacturing and technology services business will run separately.
